What's new in VRMesh 3.0? VRMesh 3.0 is a huge step forward in technology, performance, and speed. The interface and interaction are redesigned, more than sixty new features are added, and everything is speeded up, e.g., converting one million point clouds to meshes takes only a few minutes on a regular PC. Interaction: XYZ axis is added to show object size and orientation, middle mouse button is used to zoom and orbit camera, and right mouse button is used to pop up a quick menu. View: Stereo capability is added. Surface Curve: More than ten features are added to create and edit surface curves, such as Circle, Rectangle, Section curve by sketch, Move, Offset, etc. Form: Pipe Form, Text, and a few primitives are added. Point cloud to mesh is redesigned. Modify: More than thirty features are added, such as Analysis wizard, Sharp smoothing, Enhance smoothing, Quadric decimation, Project and Paste, Extend boundary along tangential direction, Extrude boundary along normal direction, Smooth boundary, Fill boundary by curvature, Mark regions by curvature, etc. Some key features are improved, such as Boolean, Unify normals, Offset surface, etc. Clay: The commands are rearranged, and more than five features are added, such as Footprint, Sharp smooth, Enhance smooth, etc. Transform: More than fifteen features are added to do the alignment, registration, and interactive transformation.
